The month you travel changes everything
Kailash in July feels nothing like Kailash in September. Kashi in Dev Deepawali is another city entirely. A field guide to timing your yatra.

The most common question we receive is not 'where should I go?' but 'when?'. And the honest answer is that the month makes as much difference as the destination.
Take Kailash. July is peak season — long days, wildflowers in the Barkha plain, but also crowds and the risk of monsoon-swollen streams on the parikrama. September is quieter and clearer, with a sharper cold at the Dolma La. Both are beautiful; they are simply different yatras.
The Char Dham opens in April and closes in November. May is joyful and busy, September is our preferred window — cleaner skies, calmer roads, a lull between the monsoon and the winter closure. October pilgrims sometimes find the shrines already preparing for the winter migration of the deities.
Kashi is a city that changes with every festival. Dev Deepawali in November transforms the ghats into a river of lamps. Mahashivratri in February brings a flood of Shiva devotees. A quiet Tuesday in July is another Kashi entirely — no less sacred, only differently so.
